Surely you’ve wondered about how mHow Long Does a Cosmetic Lastuch time does a cosmetic last. When shopping this can be an important aspect, because it determines whether you have to buy a face lotion monthly or just 3 or 4 times a year.

Most face lotions come in 50 ml bottles, face cleansers and tonics in 150-200 ml ones. Exfoliating cosmetics, masks usually have 50-75-150 ml, body lotions, body scrubs 200-250 ml.

But not only the packaging influences the time your cosmetic is going to last. It is also affected by your skin type and whether you’ve bought the right cosmetics. For instance, if your skin is dry and you’re using a cosmetic for oily skin, then you’ll probably use a larger amount so it will last less.

The season also influences the amount of cream used. During winter you may have to apply more cream than in the summer because of the cold and windy weather. If you use hydrating and nourishing foundation daily then you probably use less daytime cream.

If you use both daytime and night creams then these cosmetics will last about 3-4 months.

When you use the right type of cosmetics according to the season and your skin type then a 50 ml bottle should last for 3-4 months. If it doesn’t last that long you should choose another product which suits your skin type better.

And if it lasts longer than that then you probably don’t like using it for some matter and again you should choose one that suits you better.

Exfoliating cosmetics are used differently by every skin type.

If your skin is oily then you should use it once or twice a week. In this case a 50-75 ml bottle will lasts for 6-8 weeks. If you have dry or sensitive skin using it once in two weeks or even in a month will be enough so the product should last for more than half a year.

Using masks is pretty simple. Most of them should be applied once a month and then the cream will last almost a year. In this case you should pay attention to the expiration date and how you store the product. If you have oily skin and use a sebaceous gland controlling or a cleansing mask then you may need to buy a new bottle every 2-3 months.

It’s true that cleansers and tonics come in larger bottles, but you also use more of them. If you use them both in the morning and in the evening a bottle should last 3-4 months.

Eye creams are usually sold in 15 ml jars or bottles. If you have a pumping bottle put the cream directly under your eyes and not on your finger then you can save a lot. If the cream is in a jar use a spatula. This method can be used in the case of face cream too. It’s more hygienic and economical.
